One Act Play Runner Up at State

Lourdes Central Catholic High School one act traveled to the Johnny Carson Theater in Norfolk on December 10 for state competition.  The students performed well enough to earn 2nd place in the state in class C2 behind Hartington.

“Our kids did the best job they have ever done with this play,” said director Lesley Gould.  “They were phenomenal.  I can’t ask for any more than that.”

Four actors from Lourdes were recognized for giving an outstanding performance.  They were Hayden Miller, Ben Miller, Piper Monson, and Josie Kassube.

Also, the backstage crew from Lourdes was honored with the Outstanding Tech Crew award.

“I’ve always said the real show happens backstage,” Gould said.
