Students Give Input in Focus Group
Students Help Chart the Future of Community
Earlier in the year the student body filled out a survey about what people appreciated about Nebraska City, and possible improvements. Students were selected from each grade level to meet in the school with library and discuss the survey. Suggestions for improvements were solicited and received. Theresa Wenzl said, “I found it very interesting and I feel that some very good points were made.” Madeleine Holmes, a senior, said, “I felt that everyone listened to what the participants had to say and that our points had gotten across.” The sessions were mediated by Craig Schroeder. Students felt that he was a very good listener and interacted well with the students. Shawna Silvius was the person responsible for generating the survey and organizing these focus group sessions.
